OUR NEW HOME IN IDAHO
We have a proud history of partnering with the vibrant community of Twin Falls, Idaho and the people of the Magic Valley. Driven by our mission to bring better food to more people, we broke ground Nov. 9, 2017 on a 70,000-square-foot center for innovation and our community. The facility will house a state-of-the-art Global Research & Development Center, serve as home to our 1,000 local employees, and provide a symbolic “open door” to the people who come and visit.
We invest as much time, energy and dedication to the well-being of our people as we do our products. That is why we designed every aspect of our new center to encourage collaboration and foster physical, emotional and spiritual wellbeing of our employees.
A 7,000-square-foot, sun-filled gathering space will be used for town halls, shared meals, daily relaxation and special celebrations.
A total of 30,000 square feet of glass will allow in as much natural light as possible to flow through the space, creating a warm and inviting experience for everyone.
A new fitness center will help employees improve their health and reduce stress through exercise, and it will be used by our physical therapists to keep our workforce healthy and safe.
Innovative & Sustainable Design
Designed by local architects and engineers, built by local contractors, and inspired by the beauty of the Magic Valley and specifically the majesty of the Snake River Canyon, this sustainable building is reflective of our culture of constant creativity and commitment to the environment.
We are seeking a LEED Silver certification by the U.S. Green Building Council.
The 15,000-square-foot Global Research & Development Center will feature open spaces, including a state-of-the-art “chef kitchen” that will enable our world-class team of researchers to innovate and grow even faster.
Some 4,000-square-feet of “smart glass” windows enhance the facility’s natural light, while regulating internal temperatures, driving a 20% reduction in energy consumption.
An expansive skylight at the center of the building will reduce lighting needs from our all-LED lighting system; and “smart roofing” will reflect sunlight and reduce heat absorption.
In 2012, Chobani and Twin Falls, Idaho came together in a partnership that has brought economic growth and improved human lives, both within the company and in the vibrant community. We are deeply grateful for this nurturing connection, and for the bond we share with the people of the Magic Valley. With Chobani Idaho’s new center, we write the next chapter, serving not only as a place of employment, but as a symbolic “open door” to guests, members of our Chobani family and the Twin Falls community.
